Judyth Carr has been making, styling,
and custom fitting wigs for her clients
since 1954. She learned the art of wig
making in her homeland of Hungary and
practiced the craft over the years with
both Laszlo's Hairgoods and Jacques
Hairpieces. Judyth also owned and operated
her own wholesale hairgoods business before moving to the Conejo Valley
of Southern California and starting her private practice.
Diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 1980, Judyth knows all too well
the hardships of living with cancer. "I think it's the hardest
thing to lose your hair - sometimes harder than facing the cancer,"
said Judyth, who also lost her husband to lung cancer.
Judyth works with the Wellness Community to fit chemotherapy patients
with self-esteem boosting wigs and hairpieces. Her clients also include
men and women with thinning hair, pattern hair loss, and Alopecia.
Consultations and evaluations are held in her private salon, ensuring
complete confidentiality. House calls can also be arranged for those
with special circumstances.
